Our 3 weeks stay at Royal Monterio - Royal Goan Beach Club Goa.
When
taking a vacation, Goa will always be our first choice! Firstly,
because it's a place we love and secondly, it's a paradise on earth. And
talking about a vacation, a long one is always the best one, specially
when you've accumulated a lot of points. Yes, we were glad we took a 3
week stay at Monterio and it was our best vacation,
because it felt like a home away from our home and it's family oriented
as well. Yes....good service and beautiful place with landscaping and
everything nice.
A 40 mins cab drive from the airport and you're at Royal Monterio. It is a very good location since the famouse beaches like Calangute and Baga are very near. Here, we were first greeted buy the breathtaking view of the Arpora river which is just adjacent to the resort. Next, were greeted by the friendly staff who were dressed in blue and white uniforms. They did our check in for us and we were then escorted to our apartment by a cab. The buildings are nicely landscaped and has a vibrant blue and white colour. Ours was a two bedroom appartment which had a small kitchen with an attached dinning room, a living room which has a sofa cum bed, the bathrooms are clean and well maintained. And best of all each room had an attached balcony where you can sit and relax with a morning cup of coffee and hear the chriping of the birds at dawn.
Our Appartment was facing the pool which was beautiful to look at. And we could see our kids playing in the pool from our balcony. The rooms are well maintained and cleaned on a daily basis which fresh towels. For those who love cooking, the kitchen has everything you'll need including a pressure cooker. You can ask for a microwave if you need one and they'll deliver it to your room at no extra cost. We had wifi facility in our room and our building had an elevator, so we didn't need to use the stairs. The staff there were really helpful and kind.
A walk around the resort takes you to mini mart - which is well stocked, kids play area - where our kids had a lovely time playing, and other facilities like the Gym and games area. The food at the "Kapriz" Fusion Cuisine is worth a try. The evening at resort has a wide entertainment from magic shows to kids entertainment.
If you love walking, then a 10 minutes walk takes you to the Baga beach where you can relax or go for a quick swim. You can also enjoy Goa's delicious cuisine at the shacks on the beach. If you love chaat and bhelpuri then you'll be greeted by many cart people on the streets.
In short, we had a fabulous long vacation and it will be a pleasure visiting Royal Monterio in the near future and again we leave taking with us the best memories through the many pictures we took which we shall cherish and which will always remind us of the lovely vacation we had.
